📚✨ Our fifth and sixth graders got a taste of something special this week during Ms. Kolacz's Book Tasting Event! 🍎📖 Students sampled a variety of book genres — from adventure and non-fiction to books in a series and graphic novels — helping them discover their next favorite read.
A huge THANK YOU to Ms. Kolacz for going above and beyond to create such a fun, engaging experience. Your dedication and creativity are helping our KES kids develop a lifelong love for reading, and we are so grateful! ❤️👏

🌞 Wrapping Up KES Summer School! 🌱🍦
We are so proud of the hard work our students put in this summer—not only sharpening their math and reading skills, but also lending a hand in caring for our school garden! Throughout the summer, they took a few breaks from their classroom learning to help weed the garden and received some wonderful gardening lessons from Mrs. Mossner, who generously took time out of her summer schedule to come teach them.
On their last day, they got to enjoy the fruits (and veggies!) of their labor by harvesting some of the vegetables they helped grow. Just as they reaped the harvest from the garden, we know they’ll reap the benefits of their academic efforts in the year ahead.
Of course, all that hard work deserved a reward, so we invited Andrew Clarent and his Extreme Freeze ice cream trailer to give them a special end-of-summer treat! 🍨
A huge thank you to Mrs. Hood, Mrs. Bitterle, Mrs. Gammon, Mrs. Koehler, and Mrs. Williams for the time, energy, and heart you put into our summer school program, and to Mrs. Mossner who volunteered to share valuable gardening lessons with our students. What a wonderful way to wrap up summer learning! 🌟
