Merry Christmas
🎄✨ The final days before Christmas Break at KES were filled with joy, laughter, and the true spirit of the season. Our school was busy spreading cheer to our staff, students, and families in so many meaningful ways. From our wonderful Christmas Program, to GSRP students creating gingerbread houses with their families, to our KES Student Council caroling in each classroom, and our older students lending a helping hand to younger classmates with Christmas crafts, every moment was a reminder of how special our school community truly is. These were days filled with memories we know our students and families will cherish for years to come. ❤️ From all of us at KES, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎅🎁✨

🌟 A Beautiful Gift of Love 🌟 Mrs. Walker was delighted to share that her 3rd grade students participated in the Ruby’s Yarn of Hope project through Back Alley Fibers! 🧶 Each student designed a hat on paper, and it was brought to life as a beautiful, meaningful gift. A project they’ll always remember! Thank you to the knitters and donors💖

During our school board meeting on Monday, Carrie Peter from the Tuscola ISD was in attendance to recognize Kingston Community Schools for excellence in MTSS implementation and data utilization.

Our educators work tirelessly on behalf of learners, doing so much that is worthy of
celebration and acknowledgment. The MiMTSS Recognition process provides one way to highlight the positive work happening within the state related to implementing an MTSS framework to meet the needs of all learners. Schools, districts, and intermediate school districts (ISDs) were eligible for two types of MTSS Recognition during 2024-2025 to reflect a range of successes: 1) MTSS Data Utilization and 2) MTSS Implementation and Impact.

Kingston Community School district has earned the MTSS Data Utilization award for collecting and using the District Capacity Assessment during 2024-2025.

Kingston High School has earned the MTSS Data Utilization award for collecting
and using the District Capacity Assessment during 2024-2025 for behavior.

Kingston Elementary has earned the MTSS Data Utilization award for collecting
and using the District Capacity Assessment during 2024-2025 for reading and behavior.

Kingston Elementary has also earned an MTSS Implementation and Impact award for - Tier 1 Behavior: Silver, Tier 2 Behavior: Bronze, Tier 3 Behavior: Bronze, Tier 1 Reading: Bronze.
