We’re excited to share a new way our Kingston community can help one another-the Cardinal Cupboard! Located by the Kingston Elementary South Cafeteria doors, this food blessing box is open to anyone in need.

It’s simple: Leave a little love. Take a little hope.

Items are available first come, first serve and the cupboard will be filled as donations come in. Currently, it is filled with meal kits complete with recipe cards! Up-to-date local pantry locations are also available in the box.

A huge thank you to the Westerby Family, L.J. Construction, and the Daniel Copeland Memorial Foundation for their generosity in helping bring this project to life. Donations are still needed and can be brought to the elementary office or food donations can be placed directly in the box.

Every can, box, and kind gesture helps feed hope in our community. For more information, please contact Raeann Gentner, Elementary Social Worker at rgentner@kingstonk12.org.

🎃🕸️ Happy Halloween from Kingston Community Schools! 🕸️🎃 Since our GSRP preschool students don’t attend school on Fridays, they won’t be here for our annual Halloween parade this afternoon. To make sure they still got in on the spooky fun, our preschoolers went trick-or-treating around the building on Thursday! 🍬👻 They visited classrooms, the cafeteria, and the office, spreading smiles and collecting plenty of candy along the way! It was such a treat seeing them all dressed up in their Halloween costumes. We hope they had a fang-tastic time! 🧡🖤 We can’t wait to see everyone else at our annual Halloween parade today (Friday) at 2 PM! Don’t miss the fun! It’s sure to be a boo-tiful celebration! 🎉🧙‍♀️🕷️ Happy Halloween, everyone! 🎃👻

🌟 Playground Refresh Complete! 🌟 Our KES playground was long overdue for a fresh layer of mulch around our play structures, and this week we got it done! 🛝💪 After the new mulch was delivered, our amazing maintenance crew tackled “Mulch Mountain,” scooping and spreading load after load with a skid steer 🚜. Then, our varsity football players and coaches came over after practice to help spread the mulch into all the smaller spaces, making sure our playground is safe, soft, and ready for our students to enjoy! 🙌🏽❤️ We’re so thankful to live in a community where so many helping hands come together to make big projects like this possible. 💫 Thank you to everyone involved for your teamwork, muscle, and community spirit! 🏫
